Effective date: May 21, 2026 · Last updated: May 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Favorite Hibachi Catering's services and the website https://osakahibachi2door.com. By booking with us, submitting a form, or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Favorite Hibachi Catering provides on-site private hibachi catering services. Our chef arrives at your location with a hibachi grill and ingredients, cooks fresh food in front of your guests, and provides a brief interactive performance. We serve Philadelphia, New Jersey, Maryland, and New York (some surrounding areas available — confirm at booking).

2. Booking, Quotes, and Confirmation

  • Submitting a booking form is a request, not a guaranteed reservation.
  • We will reply within 24 hours with a quote, available dates, and confirmation steps.
  • A booking is only confirmed once we have communicated written confirmation (text or email) and any deposit (if required) has been received.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Base pricing: $550 minimum per party · $55 per adult · $30 per kid (12 and under). Prices are subject to seasonal updates posted on the Site.
  • Travel fee: $1 per mile from our nearest chef's home base to your venue. Distance is calculated one way using standard mapping services.
  • Premium upgrades: Filet Mignon (+$8), Lobster Tail (+$15) per guest where ordered.
  • Gratuity: a 20% gratuity is suggested and is not included in the quoted price.
  • Payment methods: Cash or PayPal (no fee). Venmo or Zelle add a 4% processing fee. We may require a deposit for parties over 30 guests or for peak-season dates.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • By the customer: cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit any deposit. Rescheduling is offered free of charge if requested at least 48 hours in advance, subject to availability.
  • Weather: outdoor events must have a tent, patio, or covered cooking area. If the host cannot provide adequate cover, cancellation must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
  • By us: in the rare event we must cancel (chef illness, equipment failure, etc.), any deposit will be fully refunded, and we will work to reschedule.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and successful event, the customer agrees to provide:

  • Tables, chairs, dinnerware (plates, utensils, salad bowls), and drinks for guests.
  • A safe, level cooking area (outdoor with cover, garage, or large covered patio) with adequate ventilation.
  • Safe parking and access for the chef's vehicle and equipment.
  • Pets must be restrained or kept away from the cooking area for chef and guest safety.
  • Accurate headcount and menu choices submitted at least 7 days before the event.

6. Food Safety and Allergies

Our chefs prepare food in shared cooking environments where allergens including soy, gluten, shellfish, eggs, sesame, and tree nuts may be present. While we make every effort to accommodate allergies disclosed in our Allergy Form, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Guests with severe allergies attend at their own risk. We are not liable for allergic reactions arising from undisclosed allergies.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Favorite Hibachi Catering is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid for the event in question. This does not limit liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or where prohibited by law.

8. Property and Conduct

The customer is responsible for any damage to the venue or property caused by guests. Verbal abuse, harassment, or unsafe behavior toward our chef will result in immediate termination of service with no refund.

9. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotional codes (e.g., WEEK55OFF, BIRTHDAYLOBSTER) are subject to the conditions stated on the Site at the time of booking. We reserve the right to modify or end any promotion at any time. Codes cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

10. Photography

Our chef may take occasional photos or short videos during cooking for marketing purposes. If you do not consent to being photographed, please inform the chef before the event begins, and we will respect your wishes.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services shall first be addressed by good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, except where prohibited by law. You may also contact the relevant consumer-protection authority in your state.
